Hello, I’m Susanna.
My own journey has not always followed a straight path. I first went to university to study Theatre in Education, but life circumstances meant I had to leave before completing my studies. Years later, I returned to university as a mature student — an experience that taught me that it is okay to press pause, learn, grow and take a new direction.
That experience has stayed with me. I understand what it feels like when plans change, confidence is shaken, or you need to find a different way forward.
I went on to build a career supporting young people and adults through change, uncertainty and life’s challenges. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in youth and community settings, education and mental health support roles, helping people recognise their strengths and discover their own pathways forward.
My own experiences have also shaped how I see resilience. Living with epilepsy and rebuilding my life after surgery has taught me that confidence is rarely something we simply have — it is something we build through the small steps we take.
These experiences don’t define me, but they influence the way I work. I bring compassion, curiosity and a belief that people are often more capable than they realise.
Outside of work, I live in Cornwall with my husband, our two teenage children, Ruby the cat and Coco the dog.
I enjoy crafting, writing & public speaking, spending time in the garden and singing along to my favourite musicals.
I believe everyone has the ability to move forward, even when life feels uncertain. Sometimes it starts with one conversation and one small step.
