June often brings a sense of pressure. Exams, deadlines, revision plans, and worries about results can leave many people feeling overwhelmed.
When I think about exam season, I am reminded that challenges can sometimes feel much bigger than they really are. It's easy to focus on everything that still needs to be done and forget how much has already been achieved.
This is where I find the sparkles in the dark.
They are often hidden in the small things. A revision session completed. A difficult topic finally understood. A kind word from a friend. A moment of rest after a busy day.
These small moments may not seem important at the time, but they help us keep moving forward.
One lesson I have learned is that trying to do everything at once only adds to the pressure. Focusing on one task, one chapter, or one day at a time feels much more manageable.
Instead of asking, "How will I get through all of this?" try asking, "What is the next small step I can take today?"
It might be making a simple revision plan. It might be asking for help. It might even be taking a break and getting some fresh air.
Exams are important, but they do not define who we are. They are just one part of our journey.
As we move through June, I encourage you to look for your own sparkles in the dark. They may be small, but they are there—hidden in every effort, every step forward, and every challenge you face with courage.
Sometimes the light we need isn't at the end of the journey. Sometimes it's found in the small steps we take along the way.
What small step will you take today? ✨
